Serious injuries in stabbing at Surrey mall: RCMP

Surrey RCMP is investigating a stabbing at Guildford Town Centre that sent one person to hospital with serious injuries.

According to a news release, police responded to the 10355 152 St. shopping mall at approximately 4:25 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 16), following a report of a fight inside.

Officers located a victim with serious injuries.

Witnesses report seeing the mall’s main entrance behind police tape with “at least” 10 police vehicles on-scene.

Two individuals were taken into custody and transported to Surrey RCMP cells.

“Initial information indicates that there was an altercation between parties which escalated to one person being stabbed,” the release states.

“Surrey RCMP Serious Crime Unit and General Investigation Unit are working to determine the full circumstances of what transpired.”
