American Hockey League playoff action returns to the Abbotsford Centre next Wednesday (May 8), and the Abbotsford Canucks will be building the hype locally in the days leading up to game three.

The club will be giving away two pairs of tickets to game three at secret locations on Friday (May 3), Sunday (May 5) and Monday (May 6).

Fans are advised to check the Abbotsford Canucks social media channels for hints on what the locations are on the day of the giveaway.

The Canucks will also have a presence at Highstreet Shopping Centre on Saturday (May 4) with a tent set-up and rally towels will be given away. The club’s street team will then have a street rally at Zone Garage (2139 Clearbrook Rd.) on Tuesday (May 7) from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The team will then participate in McDonald’s McHappy Day by helping out at the McCallum Road location on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a booth set up in the lobby and street team members will then march back to the arena.

Wednesday’s game three will feature the Canucks hosting the Ontario Reign. The Reign earned a win in game one of the best-of-five series on May 1, with game two again in California set for Sunday (May 5) at 3 p.m.

Games four and five, if necessary, will occur on Friday (May 10) and Sunday (May 12).

The Canucks have stated that there will be more giveaways and local events if the series is extended.
